Profile

Carpentry is essentially an apprentice occupation. William began under a full service contractor, and his most recent training has been under a New Hampshire Furniture Master.  All of his years of training has resulted in his dedication to building fine custom kitchens, cabinetry and furniture designed in conjunction with clients to meet their individualized needs and desires.  Your kitchen and cabinetry is hand-built (no manufacturing processes or facilities) with specialized features, using  wood and veneer species of your selection.

William began his career in carpentry in 1979 working for Norman Seventy, a full service contractor who built fine homes in the Lakes Region. Under Mr. Seventy, William began doing roofing and framing but he rapidly progressed to fine finish carpentry. Eventually William started his own business, Poirier Building and Remodeling. In the subsequent years, Poirier Building and Remodeling built homes, additions, garages, and decks, but William specialized in custom interior finishes. In 1995, William began focusing nearly exclusively on custom finish work and building custom kitchens and cabinetry.

In 2008, William began taking some classes from and providing some assistance to a New Hampshire Furniture Master, Thomas McLaughlin. William then began to incoporate the fine furniture techniques he had learned into his custom kitchens, cabinetry and furniture.

Today, William builds true custom kitchens, cabinetry and furniture to client specifications, using one of a kind woods.

You will meet with William (Bill) to carefully design your dreams together.  William will then hand craft them in his workshop.
